A Note on Linking - Why link to other sites?
The most obvious reason is that the sites you link to have information that your visitors may find useful or relevant to your site topic. But there is another reason as well.

Adding a link to us on your page does not simply mean that visitors leave your site and come to ours. Because of the way that search engines work, a link to us on your site means that when people search for us they will also find you and your search engine ranking will be higher than it would be if there were no links on your site. An increased number of links on your site leads to an increased number of visitors to your site even if the sites you link to do not reciprocate.
