The cuisines of the world would be much poorer without the foods developed by Native Americans. Just think how different our diets would be without potatoes, corn, tomatoes and chocolate, for example. And these wonderful food plants were not simply found in America - they were consciously developed by Native American farmers long before other peoples found their way to the continents of North and South America.
